Taking Filesystem Backup on Running VM (1 reply)

We would like to use Azure Site Recovery to take full file-system backup of our Windows VMs that are running MySQL Server. A few questions came up that we couldn't find an answer anywhere:
1. Does MySQL Server for Windows support Volume Shadow Copy?
2. Do we have to stop MySQL Server to take full file-system backup of entire VM?
